TIMBER RESOURCES IN VICTORIA
The FFORNE project has the potential to:
- Reduce harvesting pressure on Victoria's Forests
- Reduce imports of rainforest timber
- Increase employment and skills in the region
- Add diversity to rural production, and
- Bring industry opportunities to the region.
Native species plantations for timber and carbon sequestration can be an integral part of a diverse farming business.
An opportunity for investors and landowners.
FFORNE can offer services for investors and landowners; to assess land, organise the planting of suitable species and manage projects for carbon credits and high quality timber.
All FFORNE projects are recorded on land titles. It is possible for three interested parties to become involved in a farm plantation. The landowner provides the area to plant the trees, the tree owner owns the trees and the carbon is bought by a third party for offset purposes.
If you are interested in becoming an investor, owning trees without the pressures of land ownership, or simply growing your own plantation, please contact Graeme Stoney on 0428 576 090 or graeme.stoney@fforne.com.au.
